Memphis Mike's BBQ started like so many things as a hobby turned passion for slow cooked- wood smoked bbq.
During the early 90's . We participated in local BBQ competitions and every team had to have a name. The organizers David(the firechef) and Pat Veljacic ask me for a team name. We had no clue, So Pat ask me about myself and i said "well i was born in Memphis" and she goes well there ya go your Memphis Mike "when you become famous you can thank me". I never got my chance to thank them as they both passed away , but Pat and David Veljacic will always be known as the leading pioneers in introducing southern style BBQ to Canada.We started catering to give people a alternative to bland and ordinary catering that's available .We do all entrees form scratch and although it's extra work it's alway's a labor of love . BBQ is a passion that we love to share with your family and friends
We believe why serve something to your customer that you wouldn't feed your own family. When we hosted party's at my home there's one thing that people were impressed by, there's alway's lots of food, it kept people coming back and it's the reason were usually booked for the summer by the end of May.
